The Mr. & Ms. Alumni Scholarship Contest is the largest fundraiser of the NCCU Alumni Association, Inc. It is a meaningful competition championed by dedicated alumni who commit themselves as fundraising ambassadors for their alma mater.
Through the support of chapters and candidates fundraising efforts, the scholarship proceeds benefit students attending NCCU. The winners (contestants that raise the most money) enjoy a planned homecoming weekend and the court has an opportunity to serve as Alumni Association representatives at various Alumni events.
The candidates need alumni, family, and friends to make monetary donations. All donations support the $5,000 stipend that is awarded to NCCU students each year. We are now averaging over 31 applications a year which means we need to raise at least $155,000 every year.
