Department of Social Work Homecoming Campaign
Since 2002, the Department of Social Work at North Carolina Central University has continued to recruit, support, and graduate BSW and MSW students seeking to make a positive impact on our world.
Over the years, the generosity of our NCCU Social Work community has provided monetary support to help meet the needs of our students and the department. Students routinely request and receive tuition support from the Department ranging from $400-$3,000 when need is demonstrated. Additionally, gifts to the department help students who need assistance with transportation costs to attend their field practicum, to purchase books and related materials for class, and obtain drug screening, criminal background check, or health screening for internship clearance. Faculty also benefit from funding to attend professional conferences and engage in professional development activities. The generosity of our alumni makes this possible.
That’s why we have launched a Homecoming Fundraising Campaign to raise $23,000.00 or more for 2023!
We were all once students here and know the transformative value that support from those who came before us has on our lives and ability to successfully complete our studies. Let’s give back to the program that gave to all of us and keep the program going strong for generations!
The campaign committee humbly requests your financial support of the Department of Social Work.
